Official Selection in Melbourne


The Melbourne International Film Festival (MIFF) is an iconic Melbourne event. MIFF hosts a feast of cinematic delicacies from over 50 countries for nineteen days each Winter, heavily garnished with a range of parties and special events that cast a celebratory mood over the city. The Festival enjoys annual admissions of more than 182,000, making it one of Melbourne's significant public events.
MIFF shorts is one of the most highly regarded short film competitions in the Asia Pacific region. This Oscar qualifying competition attracts the best short films from around the world. Brief and brilliant, local and international these shorts are a discovery of new voices, stories and talent.

Smáfuglar (2 Birds) will be screened two times at MIFF.

First Thursday the 31st of July at 7:15 PM in Forum.
It will be screened together with the feature film MAGNUS by the director Kadri Kõusaar.
The Second screening will be in the INTERNATIONAL SHORTS 3 (100 min) program that takes place Wednesday the 6th of August at 5:15 PM in Kino.
